David Workman joins us
Dave Workman has joined us as on the technical side of the company. Dave was formerly one of my Interactive System Design (CS60171) students at the University of Manchester, and then went to work for EMCC Consultants, a company specialising in mobile phone software. Some of Dave’s software is incorporated in the Symbian code running on a forthcoming Sony-Erickson smartphone.
Dave will initially start working on a project for Mimas, a JISC National Data Centre, where we are adding structure to the 32M record Copac database, starting with the structure defined by the Functional Requirements for Bibliographic Records (FRBR) work.
Dave blogs on technical topics at reflectivecoder.blogspot.com, and will also blog here from time to time.
